Ethiopia Yirgacheffe, a sought-after specialty coffee, offers a delightful combination of flavors, including notes of natural black tea, floral tones of jasmine, and hints of lemongrass. The region of Yirgacheffe in Ethiopia, known for its history with the Arabica coffee plant, is home to a diverse range of Heirloom Cultivars from smallholder farms. To ensure the highest quality, the coffee cherries undergo a meticulous washing process before being carefully sun-dried on raised beds. This washing technique lends a consistent quality to the beans, setting them apart from their unwashed counterparts. Working in tandem with the region's high altitudes and fertile soils, these factors contribute to the creation of coffee beans renowned for their rich body and exceptional taste.

Ethiopia Yirgacheffe

Ethiopia Yirgacheffe is a remowed coffee variety that hails from the southern part of Ethiopia, specifically the mountainous town of Yirgacheffe. Yirgacheffe is a coffee paradise with over 45,000 coffee farmers in the region, producing an array of gourmet coffee beans. The harvesting season lasts from October through April, yielding approximately 7.25 million 132-pound bags of coffee each year. The coffee plants thrive in Yirgacheffe due to its high elevation, healthy soil, and warm tropical climate. In fact, some consider this area the birthplace of coffee, with legends surrounding its discovery around 850 AD.
